Proven Guilty is the eighth book in The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher. It was published in 2006 and is available in audiobook format. The audiobook is narrated by James Marsters, who has narrated all of the books in the series so far.

The story follows Harry Dresden, a wizard and private investigator, as he investigates a series of strange events that are happening in Chicago. The events are centered around a movie set that is filming a horror movie. The movie set is owned by Thomas Raith, a vampire who is also Harry’s half-brother.

The story begins with Harry being called to the scene of a crime. A group of teenagers have been attacked by a monster while they were out in the woods. Harry investigates the scene and discovers that the monster was a phobophage, a creature that feeds on fear. Harry also discovers that the teenagers were all members of a group called the Paranet, a group of people who have had supernatural experiences and are trying to learn more about the supernatural world.

Harry is then called to the movie set, where strange things are happening. The director of the movie, Arturo Genosa, is being haunted by a ghost. The ghost is the spirit of a girl who was killed on the set of a movie many years ago. The ghost is causing accidents on the set and is making it difficult for the movie to be completed.

Harry investigates the ghost and discovers that she is being controlled by someone. He also discovers that there is a plot to use the movie set as a way to summon a powerful demon. The demon is being summoned by a group of wizards who are trying to gain power and influence in the supernatural world.

Harry must stop the demon from being summoned and must also find out who is controlling the ghost. He is aided in his investigation by his apprentice, Molly Carpenter, and his friend, Karrin Murphy, who is a police officer.

The audiobook is narrated by James Marsters, who does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. Marsters has narrated all of the books in the series so far and has become synonymous with the character of Harry Dresden. The story itself is well-written and engaging. Butcher has created a rich and complex world that is full of interesting characters and supernatural creatures. The story is fast-paced and full of action, but it also has moments of humor and heart.

One of the strengths of the audiobook is the way that Marsters brings the characters to life. He does an excellent job of capturing the different personalities of the characters and making them feel real. Harry Dresden is a complex character who is both tough and vulnerable, and Marsters does a great job of capturing this.
