The story picks up where the previous book, Frozen Tides, left off. The kingdoms of Mytica are in chaos as the magic of the Kindred has been unleashed and the gods have returned. The rulers of the kingdoms are struggling to maintain control as their people are being torn apart by the magic and the gods.
The main characters of the series are back in Crystal Storm, and their stories continue to intertwine.
