Contract Signed is the first book in the Triggerman, Inc. series by Marie Johnston. The audiobook version of the novel is narrated by John Solo and is approximately 6 hours and 50 minutes long. The story follows the life of a hitman named Ryker, who is hired to kill a woman named Addison. However, things take an unexpected turn when Ryker finds himself falling for Addison and questioning his loyalty to his employer.

The story is set in the world of organized crime, where Ryker is a highly skilled hitman who works for a company called Triggerman, Inc. The company is run by a man named Roman, who is known for his ruthless tactics and his ability to get the job done no matter what. Ryker is one of Roman’s most trusted employees, and he has been working for Triggerman, Inc. for several years.

The novel begins with Ryker being given a new assignment by Roman. He is tasked with killing a woman named Addison, who is the daughter of a rival crime boss. Ryker is initially hesitant to take on the job, as he has never killed a woman before. However, he eventually agrees to do it, as he knows that he cannot refuse Roman’s orders.

Ryker begins to track Addison’s movements and learns that she is a successful businesswoman who runs her own company. He also discovers that she is engaged to be married to a man named Ethan, who is a lawyer. Ryker begins to follow Addison and Ethan, trying to find the best opportunity to take her out.

However, as Ryker spends more time watching Addison, he begins to develop feelings for her. He is drawn to her intelligence, her strength, and her beauty. He starts to question his loyalty to Triggerman, Inc. and wonders if he can really go through with killing her.

As the story progresses, Ryker and Addison’s paths cross several times, and they begin to develop a relationship. Addison is unaware of Ryker’s true identity and believes that he is just a stranger who is interested in her. Ryker struggles with his feelings for Addison and his loyalty to Triggerman, Inc. He knows that if he doesn’t complete the job, he will be putting his own life in danger.

The novel is filled with action, suspense, and romance. The audiobook version is narrated by John Solo, who does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. His voice is clear and easy to listen to, and he does a great job of conveying the emotions of the characters.

One of the things that I enjoyed about the audiobook version of Contract Signed was the pacing. The story moves along at a good pace, and there is never a dull moment. The action scenes are well-written and exciting, and the romance between Ryker and Addison is sweet and believable.

Another thing that I liked about the audiobook was the character development. Ryker is a complex character who is struggling with his own morality. He is a killer, but he also has a conscience. Addison is a strong and independent woman who is not afraid to stand up for herself. The supporting characters are also well-developed, and they add depth to the story.

Overall, I would highly recommend the audiobook version of Contract Signed to anyone who enjoys action-packed romance novels. The story is well-written, the characters are well-developed, and the narration is excellent. I look forward to listening to the rest of the Triggerman, Inc. series.
