The book starts with Rachel and Ivy traveling to the Hollows, a supernatural community in Cincinnati, to attend a convention for the Inderlanders, which are supernatural creatures that live among humans. Rachel is hoping to find a way to break the curse that has been placed on Ivy, which is slowly killing her. The curse was placed on Ivy by Piscary, a powerful vampire who Ivy used to work for. Ivy left Piscary’s employ, but he still holds a grudge against her and wants her dead.
At the convention, Rachel meets a werewolf named David, who is the alpha of his pack. David is attracted to Rachel, but she is hesitant to get involved with him because of her past relationships with werewolves. Rachel also meets Trent Kalamack, a powerful businessman who is rumored to be involved in illegal activities. Trent is also a member of the elf royalty and has a complicated history with Rachel.
Rachel and Ivy attend a party hosted by Trent, where they meet his mother, who is also a member of the elf royalty. Rachel discovers that Trent’s mother has a charm that can break Ivy’s curse, but she refuses to give it to Rachel. Rachel and Ivy leave the party, but they are attacked by Piscary’s minions. Rachel manages to fight them off, but Ivy is badly injured.
Rachel takes Ivy to David’s pack, where she hopes to find a cure for Ivy’s curse. Rachel manages to convince David to help her by promising to help him with a problem he is having with his pack.
Rachel and David travel to Michigan to help David’s pack. They discover that a group of humans is hunting werewolves for sport. Rachel and David manage to stop the hunters and save the werewolves. In return, David agrees to help Rachel break Ivy’s curse.
Rachel and David return to the Hollows, where they discover that Piscary has kidnapped Ivy. Rachel and David team up to rescue Ivy and confront Piscary. They manage to defeat Piscary, but not before he reveals that Trent was involved in Ivy’s curse. Rachel confronts Trent, who admits that he was involved in Ivy’s curse, but he did it to protect himself from Piscary. Trent gives Rachel the charm that can break Ivy’s curse, and Rachel uses it to save Ivy’s life.
The book ends with Rachel and Ivy recovering from their ordeal. Rachel is still unsure about her feelings for David, but she knows that she can always count on him as a friend. Rachel also realizes that Trent is not as bad as she thought he was and that he may be a valuable ally in the future.
Overall, A Fistful of Charms is an exciting and action-packed addition to The Hollows series.
