Rise of a Queen is the second book in the Kingdom Duet series by Rina Kent. The audiobook is narrated by Shane East and Keira Stevens. The story picks up where the first book, A King So Cold, left off. The audiobook is approximately 12 hours and 27 minutes long.

The story revolves around the lives of King Aiden and Queen Elsa. Aiden is the ruthless king of the Kingdom of Winter and Elsa is his queen. The first book ended with Elsa being kidnapped by Aiden’s enemies. In Rise of a Queen, Aiden is determined to get his queen back and take revenge on those who dared to harm her.

The audiobook starts with Aiden’s search for Elsa. He is willing to do anything to get her back, even if it means going against his own people. Aiden is a complex character, and the audiobook does a great job of exploring his psyche. He is a ruthless king who will stop at nothing to protect his kingdom and his queen. However, he also has a vulnerable side, which is evident in his love for Elsa.

Elsa, on the other hand, is a strong and independent queen. She is not afraid to stand up to Aiden and challenge him when necessary. The audiobook does a great job of portraying Elsa’s character development. She starts off as a timid queen who is afraid of Aiden, but as the story progresses, she becomes more confident and assertive.

The audiobook also introduces new characters, including Aiden’s brother, Liam, and Elsa’s sister, Isla. Liam is a complex character who has his own agenda. He is not afraid to challenge Aiden and is willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Isla, on the other hand, is a more straightforward character. She is loyal to Elsa and is willing to do anything to help her sister.

The audiobook is full of twists and turns, and the plot is well-paced. The story is engaging, and the narration by Shane East and Keira Stevens is excellent. They bring the characters to life and make the story even more compelling.

One of the strengths of the audiobook is the world-building. The Kingdom of Winter is a fascinating world, and the audiobook does a great job of exploring it. The audiobook also delves into the politics of the kingdom, which adds depth to the story.

The romance between Aiden and Elsa is also a highlight of the audiobook. Their relationship is complex, and the audiobook does a great job of exploring it. The chemistry between the two characters is palpable, and the audiobook does a great job of conveying it.

Overall, Rise of a Queen is an excellent audiobook. It is well-written, well-paced, and well-narrated. The story is engaging, and the characters are well-developed. The audiobook is a must-listen for fans of the Kingdom Duet series and for anyone who enjoys a good romance with a touch of fantasy.
