The story begins with Jim Heron, the protagonist of the series, waking up in a hospital bed after being shot in the chest. He is visited by Adrian Vogel, the CEO of Vogel Industries, who tells him that he has been chosen to fight against Devina, a demon who is trying to bring about the end of the world. Jim is given a choice: he can either accept the challenge and fight against Devina, or he can die and go to heaven.

As the seven chosen complete their tasks, they begin to develop feelings for each other. Vin and Marie-Terese’s relationship becomes stronger, Isaac and Devina reconcile, Matthias and Nigel become friends, and Eddie falls in love with a woman named Adrianne.
The final battle takes place in a church, where Devina and Lilith have gathered their armies. The seven chosen, Jim, and the fallen angels arrive and engage in a fierce battle. Vin uses the weapon he found to kill Devina, Marie-Terese’s protection spell works against Lilith’s powers, Isaac weakens Devina, Devina controls Lilith, Matthias stops Lilith’s army, Nigel stops Lilith’s human followers, and Eddie distracts Lilith.
In the end, Lilith is defeated and the apocalypse is prevented. The seven chosen are all given a second chance at life, and they all choose to stay together. Vin and Marie-Terese get married, Isaac and Devina start a relationship, Matthias and Nigel continue their business partnership, and Eddie and Adrianne start a new life together.
