The story begins with Fletcher and his friends, Othello and Sylva, traveling to the city of Avenia to attend the Summoner’s Council. The council is a gathering of the most powerful summoners in the world, who come together to discuss the state of the world and to make decisions that will affect the future of all summoners.
Fletcher is excited to attend the council, as he hopes to learn more about the mysterious forces that are threatening the world. However, he soon discovers that the council is not what he expected. The summoners are divided into factions, each with their own agenda, and there is a great deal of political maneuvering and backstabbing going on behind the scenes.
As Fletcher tries to navigate the complex world of the council, he also has to deal with a new threat that has emerged in the form of a powerful demon. The demon is wreaking havoc across the land, and Fletcher and his friends are the only ones who can stop it.
The demon is unlike anything Fletcher has ever faced before. It is incredibly powerful and seems to be immune to all of his summoning spells. Fletcher realizes that he will need to find a new way to defeat the demon if he is to save the world.
As Fletcher searches for a way to defeat the demon, he also has to deal with the political machinations of the council. He discovers that there are those who would use the demon’s power for their own gain, and he must work to stop them before it is too late.
The audiobook is well-narrated by Dominic Thorburn, who does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. His voice is clear and easy to understand, and he does a great job of conveying the emotions of the characters.
The story itself is well-written and engaging. Taran Matharu has created a rich and complex world, filled with interesting characters and a deep mythology. The plot is fast-paced and full of action, with plenty of twists and turns to keep the listener engaged.
One of the strengths of the Summoner series is the way that Matharu has created a world that feels real and lived-in. The characters are well-developed, with their own unique personalities and motivations. The world itself is richly detailed, with a deep history and mythology that is slowly revealed over the course of the series.
Another strength of the series is the way that Matharu has incorporated real-world issues into the story. The series deals with themes of prejudice, discrimination, and the abuse of power, all of which are relevant to the world we live in today.
Overall, Summoner 14 is a great addition to the series. It is well-written, engaging, and full of action and intrigue. The audiobook is well-narrated and easy to listen to, making it a great choice for fans of the series or anyone looking for a great fantasy adventure.
