The story picks up where the previous book, The Dragon’s Fangs, left off. Wu Ying has just defeated the dragon and has gained a powerful weapon, the Dragon’s Fangs. However, her victory has come at a great cost. Her mentor, Master Liu, has been killed, and Wu Ying is left to mourn his loss. She is also faced with the realization that she is not as powerful as she thought she was. She has been relying too much on the Dragon’s Fangs and has neglected her cultivation.
Wu Ying decides to take a break from her training and travels to the city of Xianyang to attend a martial arts tournament. The tournament is being held to celebrate the opening of a new arena, and the best fighters from all over the country have been invited to participate. Wu Ying sees this as an opportunity to test her skills and to learn from other cultivators.
The tournament is filled with excitement and danger. Wu Ying faces off against some of the strongest fighters in the country, including a mysterious masked warrior who seems to have a personal vendetta against her. Wu Ying also discovers that there is a plot to assassinate the emperor, and she must use her skills to stop the conspirators before it’s too late.
As Wu Ying delves deeper into the conspiracy, she discovers that there is a powerful organization behind it. The organization is known as the Black Lotus, and they are determined to overthrow the emperor and take control of the country. Wu Ying realizes that she must stop the Black Lotus before they can succeed in their plan.
